Nick is a BAFTA-winning TV scriptwriter and series creator who has also gained a diverse range of writing credits in film, radio, stage, print journalism and books.

He currently works as a core writer on BBC1’s top-rating primetime hospital drama Holby City, for which he has written over 25 episodes.

He is a much-published expert in fishing and fish cookery, as well as being author of several highly regarded teenage advice books.

Nick has also devised and presented a handful of factual TV shows too: Screaming Reels, Dirty Tackle, dear Nick.

His recent TV scriptwriting credits include episodes of Eastenders, Casualty, Hustle, Crusoe, New Tricks, Diamond Geezer and Holby City.  He also created and wrote the BBC comedy drama series Manchild, and The Giblets Boys for which he won the BAFTA for Best Drama.

His first stage play Basket Case, starring Nigel Havers, toured 11 top regional theatres in 2012.

And Nick’s debut novel Pot Luck, a dark twisty murderous crime thriller set against the back drop of the Weymouth commercial crab fishing industry is published by Peridot Press on June 1st 2016.
